Documentation is key in any field; law, medicine, science, history, mathematics, etc. The pen truly is mightier than the sword.
So if you believe you are experiencing paranormal phenomenon document your experience. Document everything from the time, weather, mood, smell, sights, sounds, etc.
Keep a log of your experiences and utilize them to find the help you may need. Not everything that people experience is truly paranormal in nature. In fact, most things mistaken for paranormal have a complete logical explanation. Explore every possibility and dismiss that which can be readily (more…)

Things you need to know about electromagnetic field (EMF) radiation and how it could affect your brain function:
In 2004, scientists in Spain have discovered that a cell phone call lasting just two minutes can alter the natural electrical activity of a child’s brain for up to an hour afterwords. The alteration in brain waves could lead to things like a lack of concentration, memory loss, inability to learn and aggressive behavior
Prominent Swedish scientist suggests cell phones and the new wireless technology could cause a “whole generation” of today’s teenagers to go senile in the prime of their lives. Prof. Salford warned that long-term exposure could potentially lower brain reserve capacity.
Swedish research done on rats (more…)

Carl Sagan once said “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.” He is exactly correct when dealing with something moving from scientific theory to natural law. For instance, Nicolaus Copernicus had an extraordinary claim for his day called Heliocentrism. It was absolute heresy to say that the earth revolved around the sun in 1543! The establishment frowned upon this and his work was banned. Sad thing is it wasn’t really accepted until the 19th century. Over the course of time we’ve discovered that the sun doesn’t revolve around us, the galaxy doesn’t revolve around our sun and believe it or not we are not the center of the damn universe. As a matter of fact more than likely we are not the only universe. We exist in a multiverse.
If it were not for men like Copernicus that challenged belief for a seemingly wacked out notion, we would still all be sitting here with our thumb up our collective ass thinking we are the center of the whole damn thing. That’s where I think that the paranormal field is at today. It’s filed in the pseudo-science (more…)

Have you ever seen the movie Catch Me If You Can? It’s loosely based on the real life autobiography of a man named Frank Abagnale Jr. Now a security consultant, Frank was a conman, check forger, document forger, impostor and escape artist.
In the 1960s Frank forged over $2 million in checks in 26 countries over a 5 year time frame starting when he was only 16. Most of which were Pan-Am checks seeing as how his favorite con was posing as a Pan-Am pilot. He deadheaded over 1 million miles on over 250 flights. As a “pilot” he was also able to get everything from food to hotels on his little excursions all on Pan-Am’s dime.
Besides being a “pilot”, Frank was (more…)

The Shadow People (also known as shadow figures, shadow beings, shadow men, shadow folk, shadow ghosts) are supernatural shadow-like figures described as dark humanoid forms or evasive specters that are seen mostly in peripheral vision.
Shadow people are typically described as black humanoid silhouettes with no discernible mouths, noses, or facial expressions, child-sized humanoids, or shapeless masses that sometimes change to human like form and featuring eyes that are either glowing or not discernible. Their movement is said to be quick and disjointed.
Some have proposed that shadow people represent a Thoughtform (egregore), ghost or demon that was created by events in which extreme physical/emotional stress/trauma has taken place, have been purposefully summoned through black magic or other occult practices, or are creatures who exist (more…)

It’s a common problem on investigations involving actual paranormal activity. Your brand new Duracell is so toast! The widely accepted theory is that entities require energy to manifest themselves either by sight, sound or touch. And what better source than your nice and compact energy cell.
So bring extra batteries. Plus it’s always good practice to start every investigation with a brand new set. I know it’s not the most cost effective thing to do but it does ensure that you are ready to go when the time comes.
And don’t just have extra batteries for your camera. Bring extras for all (more…)

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that makes it difficult to tell the difference between real and unreal experiences, to think logically, to have normal emotional responses, and to behave normally in social situations.
Schizophrenics may have a variety of symptoms. Usually the illness develops slowly over months or even years. At first, the symptoms may not be noticeable. For example, you may feel tense, or have trouble sleeping or concentrating. You can become isolated and withdrawn, and have trouble making or keeping friends.
As the illness continues, psychotic symptoms develop:
An appearance or mood that shows no emotion (flat affect)
Bizarre motor behavior in which there is less reaction to the environment (catatonic behavior)
False beliefs or thoughts that have nothing to do with reality (delusions)
Hearing, seeing, or feeling things that are not there (hallucinations)
Thoughts “jump” between unrelated topics (more…)

White noise is a random signal (or process) with a flat power spectral density. In other words, the signal contains equal power within a fixed bandwidth at any center frequency. White noise draws its name from white light in which the power spectral density of the light is distributed over the visible band in such a way that the eye’s three color receptors (cones) are approximately equally stimulated.
Electronic voice phenomena is one of the most fascinating areas of paranormal research. Human-sounding voices of unknown origin are recorded on electronic media such as tape recorders, digital voice recorders, video recorders, etc. The voices are not heard at the time of the recording; it is only when the recording is played back (more…)

The word Ouija comes from the French “oui” and German “ja” also known as a spirit board or talking board. It is a flat board marked with letters, numbers, and other symbols, used to communicate with spirits. It uses a planchette, a small heart-shaped object, or movable indicator to indicate the spirit’s message by spelling it out on the board during a séance. The fingers of those participating are placed on the planchette which moves about the board to spell out messages.
Following its commercial introduction by William Fuld in the late 1890s, the Ouija board was regarded as a harmless parlor game unrelated to the occult until Spiritualist Pearl Curran popularized its use as a divination tool during the first (more…)

Pareidolia a.k.a. “Matrixing” is a psychological phenomenon where the brain receives a random stimulus and is interpreted as something familiar. A good example is the famous “Horse Head Nebula” found in the constellation Orion.
Carl Sagan once said that this is an evolutionary byproduct of our species. We are “hard-wired” from birth to be able to identify a human face. This allows us to interpolate random patterns as being identifiable. Much like an ink blot test. This gives us the advantage to be able to assess threats in split seconds and act accordingly.
In 2009 a magnetoencephalography study found that objects incidentally (more…)
